MONICA CIPES D.M.D., M.S.D.

Monica Cipes D.M.D., M.S.D., received her dental degree and specialty certification in pediatric dentistry from the University of Connecticut School (UCONN) of Dental Medicine, including a master’s degree in dental science from UCONN’s Department of Behavioral Sciences. She has practiced pediatric dentistry in Greater Hartford for over 30 years. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the attending staff at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. Dr. Cipes is active among her professional peers and a member in good standing of several professional organizations. Among her many achievements, she served a year as president and six years on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and serves on numerous national committees including the Council on Continuing Education for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has recently been recognized in Connecticut Magazine by her peers as one of Connecticut’s Top Five Dentists and received the American Society of Dentistry for Children Fellowship Award.

 

Dr. Cipes is a faculty member of the UCONN School of Dentistry, teaching dental students and dentists about pediatric dental care. She is a former assistant professor, in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Community Health, at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. Her special areas of expertise are motivating children to develop strong dental habits and providing a positive dental experience.

 

On the personal side, she is the mother and grandmother. She won’t make a recommendation for any child that she wouldn’t make for one of her own.

Elizabeth Cipes Chisholm D.M.D.

Elizabeth Cipes Chisholm is a third-generation dentist. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts- Amherst, Dr. Chisholm earned a four-year dental degree from the University of Connecticut (UCONN) School of Dental Medicine. She continued an additional two years with specialty training in pediatric dentistry — an advanced degree in the treatment of infants, children and adolescents — through the UCONN School of Dental Medicine and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the attending staff at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Chisholm was recently been recognized in Connecticut Magazine by her peers as one of Connecticut’s Top Dentists.

 

During her residency program, Dr. Chisholm’s research focused on improving the dental experience for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder by using a picture guide, a practice she continues in her current dental work. Her educational honors include the Pierre Fauchard Award for leadership and accomplishment in the advancement of the dental profession, the Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-doctoral Student Award and the Dr. Loeb Prize awarded for leadership in dentistry. She is a speaker at UCONN School of Dental Medicine in the Geriatrics and Special Care Patients course.

 

Dr. Chisholm is a mother to two young children.   When recommending treatment she always takes into consideration what she would want for her own children.

Amy Beauvais D.M.D.

Dr. Amy Beauvais received her dental degree and specialty training in pediatric dentistry from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine.  At the same time, she also obtained a certificate in the ‘Foundations of Public Health’.   She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the attending staff at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.  Before joining our practice, Dr. Beauvais provided dental care to underserved children at health centers in Maine and Connecticut.   She is the recipient of a National Health Service Corp Scholarship and was an Urban Service Track Scholar. During her residency program Dr. Beauvais did research on the use of panoramic radiographs in the mixed dentition.  She is a member of the ‘Image Gently Alliance’, an organization committed to providing safe, high quality pediatric imaging and reducing radiation exposure in children.

 

With a strong background in public health dentistry and a genuine passion for patient well-being, Dr. Beauvais brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

 

Dr. Beauvais lives in Farmington with her husband, who is an oral surgeon, and their two young daughters.  She is committed to providing your child the same level of care she would want for her own children.
