Wednesday, April 23rd was Administrative Professional’s Day!    Our administrative professionals, Donna, Diane, Nancy, Pat and Astrid, are a wonderful asset to our team.   Their hard work and dedication help make our patient’s experience a smooth one.  On Tuesday we celebrated our exceptional group with a special luncheon in their honor.

Our administrative professionals play a key role in the dental practice.   They perform a variety of duties from scheduling appointments, helping patients with insurance questions and ….

Here is a little bit about our administrative professionals…

Donna is our office manager.  She started with Cipes Pediatric Dentistry in 1986 (almost 28 years ago!) as a dental assistant and quickly demonstrated that she’s a born leader.   She’s the go-to person for all of our staff and patient needs.    Donna lives in West Hartford with her husband and 2 children.

Diane was a dental hygienist with our practice for 24 years and has been working at the front desk for 6 years.   Her clinical experience enables her to answer many of parents’ questions about their children’s teeth.    When Diane is not busy spoiling her 4 grandchildren she spoils us with her delicious baked goods.

Nancy is our bookkeeper and has been with CPD for 17 years.    Even though most of her responsibilities are behind the scenes she works hard to ensure the office runs smoothly!   Another one of our resident bakers she is always surprising us with delicious treats to brighten our day!     Nancy recently welcomed her 5th and 6th grandchildren (twin girls!) to her family!

Astrid, our patient care coordinator, has been with the practice for 14 years.    She started as a dental assistant and moved to the front desk 4 years ago.   Her soothing nature and caring way of explaining things, together with her experience as a dental assistant, helps both patients and parents feel at ease.    Astrid lives in Cromwell with her husband and 3 kids.

Pat, our very own welcoming committee, is a fixture at our front desk.    For the past 11 years, Pat has been enthusiastically greeting everyone who calls or comes in and her upbeat energy is contagious!  Pat lives in Newington, where she and her husband raised their son.
