Cipes Pediatric Dentistry is led by a mother-daughter WEST HARTFORD, Ct., June 5, 2011…Dr. Monica Cipes and Dr. Elizabeth Chisholm attended the 65th American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) Annual Session in San Diego, CA.

While in San Diego, Drs. Cipes and Chisholm both presented to their colleagues.  Dr. Cipes gave a presentation on “How Does Evidence Based Dentistry Fit into a Busy Practice” and Dr. Chisholm gave a presentation on “Creating a Picture Guide for Your Practice for Children with Autism.”

This year, Dr. Chisholm was honored at the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) Recognition Reception for her recent board certification.   Dr. Cipes was also in attendance in appreciation of her service as a consultant to the ABPD.

While at the conference the doctors attended various educational sessions, such as ‘Interceptive Orthodontics in Managing the Developing Occlusion,’ ‘Risks of Dental Sedation/ Anesthesia,’ and ‘Clinical Applications of Lasers in Pediatric Dentistry.’   “We are always striving to make our practice better.  We feel that attending continuing education meetings, and this meeting in particular, enables us to provide our patients with the most up-to-date and highest quality care,” said Monica Cipes, D.M.D, M.S.D.
